In July, we're back to our regular monthly exhibitions, and first up we have works from Sinikka Hurskainen.
Sinikka Hurskainen is a painter based in Imatra, best known for her naive oil paintings and her earlier career in politics. Hurskainen's paintings are bright and colourful, naive and often humorous.
Hurskainen has been an art enthusiast since her youth, although during her political career she did not have much time to focus on her art. After leaving politics, Hurskainen was able to concentrate fully on painting and art studies. She has studied art in Finland, Russia and France. Sinikka Hurskainen has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad during her career.
